Because Fairfax is farther from our Kensington school than our Maryland cities, we are often booked here for larger or longer programs, including multi-lion performances and combined lion dance and kung fu demonstrations.
Getting the lion to Fairfax
Fairfax is reached from Kensington by the Capital Beltway (I-495) and I-66 or the Dulles Toll Road, so travel takes 45 minutes to an hour or more in traffic. We schedule accordingly and prefer to arrive early. Shopping-center openings in Fairfax generally offer easy surface parking; Tysons and Reston Town Center venues use garages and loading docks that we coordinate in advance. Outdoor events on county or city property may require a permit from Fairfax County or the City of Fairfax.

Do you travel to Fairfax County for a single grand opening?
Yes. Fairfax is part of our regular Northern Virginia service area, and we perform single grand-opening blessings there as well as larger events. Because of the distance from Kensington, we appreciate as much notice as possible and may ask about flexibility on timing if we have other bookings in Virginia the same day.
Can you combine a lion dance with a kung fu demonstration in Fairfax?
